Charting A New Course 2.0: Renewing Post-Secondary Education in BC

May 22, 2013
Education can be improved. Rather, it is the starting point for a broader conversation with communities, students, families, faculty and administrators, all of whom have a vital interest in seeing post-secondary education thrive and succeed.

FPSE believes there is an urgent need for significant revisions to the policies and funding choices made over the last decade. Post-secondary education must play a critical role in building the future of BC, but that role has been undermined by changes made to the public system over the last decade, changes that have impaired both access and affordability. Public policy changes are needed and there is an opportunity to broaden the public debate that should precede a government commitment to implement those changes. Postsecondary educators want to play a critical role in designing those changes and participating in that larger public debate.
