Prior to being elected as FPSE Secretary-Treasurer in 2015, Terri served for 13 years as President of the Kwantlen Faculty Association.
Terri has been a union activist for over 30 years as a member of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, the Industrial Wood and Allied Workers Union (now Steelworkers) and FPSE.
She represents FPSE on a variety of provincial and national committees, including the BC Federation of Labour's Executive Council and Political Action Committee and serves as Chair of the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) Collective Bargaining and Economic Benefits Committee.
Nationally, Terri is an Executive member of CAUT and the Vice-President of the National Union of the Canadian Association of University Teachers (NUCAUT). She also sits on the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) Status of Women Committee.
Terri has been an educator for more than twenty years. She first joined the Kwantlen Polytechnic University faculty in 1993, teaching in the Employment and Educational Access for Women program (now CCLS). She is also a labour educator, instructing courses for the CLC, the BC Federation of Labour, and other local and provincial unions.
